So, today saw Trion release a pretty damn nice PVP video. If you haven’t seen it already, check it out here!
- There will be many different ways for PvP players to have fun in Rift.
- Zone-wide invasions!
- Each faction will have the opportunity to attack the other during planar invasions.
- Warfronts are cross-server, which helps reduce wait times.
As well, we’ve learned about some new Warfronts! We now have 4 announced warfronts:
- Whitefall Steppes (Capture the Flag)
- The Black Garden (Martyrdom)
- The Codex (Domination)
- The Battle for Port Scion (Conquest) *New*
As well, Chris Junior tells us a bit about the Favour and Prestige system:
- Favour is a form of currency players will gain from level 10 onwards.
- Prestige can be gained at level 50 and represents your PvP level.
- The higher your Prestige, the more armour you can wear and the more points you can put into your PvP souls
And so – we will also be talking to Chris Junior for Monday 24th January 2011’s podcast and asking for clarification on some points and full questions on others. Keep an eye out for some clarifications and a more in-depth look at PvP from the devs Monday!
