Yay! I’m in the podcast! Please try to ignore me in the Drunk part though. This was a lot of fun and Trion is great. Thanks for doing this Ari!

I could have liked this podcast more if it wasn’t because people laught-yelling at the microphone every 10 seconds. Devs voice was so soft I had to turn up the speakers but then;
A devs says a word:
-crowd: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!
wtf?
Seriously, podcast was great but I hope you can cut out or lower the volume when people starts trying to get you deaf
February 14th, 2011 on 2:13 pm
@Daniel That’s tough to manage when you don’t have the funding to get everyone in the room a mic or some such thing.
If you’re recording from one location in the room, that’s kinda how it’s gonna be.
February 14th, 2011 on 6:39 am
@Daniel
Did you not read that we were in a room of 18 people? With the microphone in a stationary place? Ever try to adjust volume on something recorded in that situation? Its not easy. I would suggest you cut people a bit of slack. They worked hard on this episode, one that was not recorded in ideal conditions and I think they deserve a bit more respect than that.
February 14th, 2011 on 7:19 am
I don’t see how I disrespected anyone, I did a formal critic and suggested to edit out when things get out of control a.k.a. “massive yelling”
My apologizes if I hurted anyone’s feelings, wasn’t my intention.
February 14th, 2011 on 2:16 pm
@Daniel Yah but if you edit out people laughing then I don’t know when -I- should be laughing!!
I suppose you could splice the audio track and just lower volume during the laughs. Just a pain in the butt, especially if you don’t have that many people working with you to put together the podcast.
The laughing was a bit blaring but I’ll suffer that if it means timely release of the episode.

when is headstart for ppl who pre ordered again?
lol jumping the shark…
Should of asked if they were going to implement a inspect option to see how ppl have specced into there souls…So we actually know what they are compared to just cleric..warrior..and so forth.
that beeping was annoying…shame on you.
February 14th, 2011 on 2:11 pm
Noooo! No inspect options!
My builds are top secret.
I put them together on two-sided chalk boards that I keep in the attic of my creepy cob-webbed mansion, on stormy nights.
No one else is to see the designs of my creations!! Everrr! Ra-ha-ha-HAAA!
But seriously.. I don’t like people snooping around my spec.

Funny podcast
My doubts about crafting weren’t completely satisfied but I’m overjoyed with every desicion they’ve taken so far. If random dungeon finder is seriously being considered, I hope they get creative when implementing it because it really doesn’t seem atractive. Also, love the news about racial powers but I’m still unsatisfied with apearance customization for each race.
Soooo excited for beta tomorrow but sad because I grew too fond of my character
Obviously even more excited about launch! Arithion! Tanks ftw!
February 14th, 2011 on 10:55 am
I love it! It’s great to hear how goofy and fun and down to earth they all seem to be. But at the same time, they’re serious about producing a great game that people enjoy playing. And they don’t dodge any questions! Thanks so much for putting this together!
February 14th, 2011 on 11:52 am
I’m wanting to hear the rest, next week is long time to wait. Housing!! Can’t really comment on the info as it’s incomplete till next week. Thanks, it was a fun listen.
February 14th, 2011 on 12:57 pm
Great podcast again and it sounds like you had alot of fun meeting up with the guys from Trion. They really do seem quite genuine and certainly truthful and upfront when dealing with the questions that we all want answered. Not sure what to think about some of the answers but will just have to wait and see what happens. Thanks for asking some really specific and helpful questions and I look forward to hearing more about the gamer day. The quality of the podcast was fine and you did really well to get all that content into one podcast, keep up the good work as always
February 14th, 2011 on 1:41 pm
Great podcast as always. Had to cut it short due to the extremely annoying BEEEEEEP sounds that I assume you used to bleep out bad language. Next time, try using a less annoying sound or simply cut out the offending bit of sound completly.
February 14th, 2011 on 5:18 pm
Yeah sorry about that. Used the wrong of two beep files I had
– I’ve rectified it now for those who download it from now on – but I’m sorry for the piercing sound
February 14th, 2011 on 2:06 pm
Fun casting of pods you did today. The dev’s interview was great. Some sharp questions, and solid answers.
I truly love the rift dev team more and more with each time I hear from them in these interviews, so thanks for doing all the interviews!
If I made one constructive criticism it’d be.. quieter censoring beeps lol. I listen on headphones at work, and while the content was quiet to regular volume, the bleeps were emitting sonic waves in my brains.
Or just record yourself saying ‘exploitative deleted’ and stick that in there again and again lol.
Also, random thought: During all these interviews I find myself thinking.. damn I wish I could ask them a question or two. Any thoughts on doing like a ‘listener’s question’ segment where you pick out a handful of submitted questions to ask the devs at the end of an interview? That’d be good times, I think.
Bip’addy Bop’addy.

Ok, it needs to be said…Ari, when you get around Scott Hartsman, you laugh at EVERYTHING he says. And your the only one in the room doing so. It sounds really bad, like your kissing MAJOR azz. Sorry, it had to be mentioned. You have been doing better these months, but this podcast you reverted back…../shrug
Second, some of the questions: The one Ari asked about the Soul System adds in the future, absolutely a waste of time. OF COURSE there will be adds in the future to the system. Waste of time, cmon. Also, the question from the guy about what happ to make TRION have more raid content then previously thought at a specific point in time…WHO THE FK CARES? Another huge waste of time with the devs… Another dumb question, will there be rare recipes? Ok, this is borderline moronic land, sorry, but so true..Again OF COURSE THERE ARE RARE RECIPES….
The “drunken” podcast is a prime example of inebriated people sitting around, knowing people are listening, thinking they are CHRIS ROCK HILARIOUS. HUR HUR HUR arent we hilarious, hur hur…Meanwhile in the background crickets
Wish I had more positive things to write about but I dont…/shrug
February 14th, 2011 on 11:43 pm
@nightfall
Asking a question about the so7ul system add thing wasnt a waste of time. Please link a source where the devs went, and here is our long term plan with more souls. i want a source now, since it has never been mentioned. God the game isnt even out and you think an expansion is in the works already. Everytime Ari laughed so did everyone else. She must have been sitting closer to the mic or something from the sounds of it. Again i dont think there has been any released info on the question they asked. I bet you thought there would be rare materials as well. But since he asked about the rare recipes we were also told there isnt any rare materials at all in the game. So it wasnt a waste of time.
Before saying something is pointless, back it up with info. Since there isnt any link or source you can link too, your just a douche who doesnt know anything and only assumes everything. GG.
February 15th, 2011 on 1:06 am
name calling? kid, grow up. Im allowed to have an opinion…dont like it? Too fkng bad…..
have a nice day….lol……….
February 15th, 2011 on 12:13 am
I think the podcast was awesome. I especially liked the loud outbursts, as they helped portray the environment.
@ daniel..L2 normalize your sound maybe? That would be alot easier than them editing out all the stuff u didn’t like.
February 15th, 2011 on 1:41 am
Your opinion is stupid. “Dont ask questions that you should know the answer to”
Thats your logic. But thing is..none of those questions they asked, had ever been answered before until they asked them at the meet. And since they questions were unanswered or had no answer until now, makes them good questions.
Just because you assume something is going to happen, or they are going to do something a certain way, doesnt make it fact. That is what makes you a douche, and your only digging your hole bigger.
And look at you, couldnt even reply with a link to some kind of source with the answers to there questions with a date, saying ti was answered before the meet.
GG douche. Next time think before posting hey?

Another nice podcast with good infos, thanks =)
February 15th, 2011 on 12:16 pm
good podcast, have to agree with Daniel though, the laughing was annoying, and not the laughing per se more that we could not hear what was being said. no worries still a good podcast.
February 15th, 2011 on 9:42 pm
nightfall, you just proved your own intelligence. Stupid 15 year old is stupid.
